On a typical day, I get up at 6:00 in the morning to get ready for school. I get to the bus stop at 6:50 and the bus comes at 7:02. I get to school at 7:40 and when the bell rings at 7:50, I go to my first period class, depending on if it is a Blue Day or White Day. I stay in school until 3:15, but I get home at two minutes before 4:00. I do my chores and help fix supper. After supper, I do the dishes (if it is my turn). If not, then I take a bath, then spend time with my parents watching T.V. I go to bed at 10:00.
On weekends, I get up at 7:00 and help fix breakfast. Then my family and I go grocery shopping. If my mother feels like it, she will take me to the mall to go shopping, but we only go for a certain amount of minutes. Then, when we get home, we eat a light supper and then I go take a bath. After that, I get on my laptop and browse on the web. I usually go to bed at 10:00, depending on how tired I am.

What I Am Currently Fascinated With
I am currently fascinated with music. Particularly rock and alternative music. If I here a song on a commercial or on the radio, I go on Youtube to try and find it. I love listening to music. It is my favorite pasttime.
On Sunday, my dad and I watched a movie that had some really great songs in it. I am still trying to find the names and artists of those songs. I need all the luck I can get to find these.

Typical Day From My Middle School Years
At College View, we would have to sit in the gym in the morning to wait for the bell to ring so we could go to our specific hallway (There are three hallways: one with all 6th grade classes, one for all 7th grade classes, and one for all 8th grade classes.) to put our backpacks in our lockers and go to our first class of the day. Our first two classes would be electives such as PE, Tech Ed, Music, FCS, French, or Spanish. Then we would head to either Math, Science, Social Studies, English, or Reading. We would go to lunch during third or fourth period and then go to the remaining three or four classes. We would leave school at 3:15 everyday.
On the last day of school, they would have a talent show at the end of the day for students. They would also let us go outside on the track or football field and listen to music or hang out with our friends.

Missing My Relatives
Last year, my family went through something that caused our relationship to be strained. Since then, I haven't heard much from my aunt Echo and my cousins Eric, Scott, Kara, and Bradley. They used to come visit us, but now they don't. I miss them a lot. My cousins Kara and Bradley and my aunt Echo has Facebook accounts, but I am scarred to add them as friends because they might tell my dad and he might get mad. I love them and miss them a whole lot. I wish that I could see them again and everything won't be so strained.
First Time I Was Hurt
I was 12-13 years old and it was close to the end of the school year. I was to take the trash out while my dad and brother were cooking supper. I was barefoot and while taking the trash out, something in the trashbag cut my toe. I started bleeding a lot. My mom had to soak my toe in peroxide to make sure that no glass was still in my toe. The loss of so much blood made start feeling dizzy and I became sick. After that, my mom bandaged my toe and helped me walk into the living room to eat supper.
Last CD I Bought
The last cd I bought was Ke$ha's album "Animal." I am a fan of her music and I think she is a great artist. I was with my mom in the mall. I have money burning a hole in my pocket, so I wanted to buy some things. At Vanity, I bought a few shirts and earphones. I bought the cd at Hot Topic. They had a shirt that featured Kesha on it, but I only had $11. The shirt cost $22 and the cd cost $9.99 and I didn't want to have to resort to my mom for more money. Let me tell you, that was the best decision I made that day. There is never a day that I don't listen to some of the songs from the cd.
Why I Am Almost Always Online
When I am at home, I am online a lot. That is because I have to listen to my favorite songs, that I don't have downloaded, on YouTube. We used to have Napster Music Downloads, but that started messing up on us, so we had to cancel that service.
I also have a Facebook account that I check everyday. My dad doesn't know that I have one, but he has one himself, but my mom and I haven't told him that we each have a profile. I talk to my friends and family.
The last reason that I am online is because for school purposes. I use Google to search for information to complete my projects that are due. I am currently working on a powerpoint about Popular Culture of the 1950s for U.S. History.

My Favorite Quote

"To me, there's nothing freer than a bird, you know, just flying wherever he wants to go. And, I don't know, that's what this country is all about, being free. I think everyone wants to be a free bird."-Ronnie Van Zant.
This is my favorite quote because he is exactly right. Everyone does want to be free from any problems or other things. We want to fly away, relax, and not worry about anything. If you have heard the song "Free Bird" by his band Lynyrd Skynyrd, then you know what he is describing. If you haven't, I suggest that you do. Listen to the lyrics and you will feel, well, the feeling is indescribable. It is an amazing song. Ronnie is right, everyone wants to be a free bird.

Best Scary Movies of all Time
1. Paranormal Activity
2. Saw
3. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
4. Friday the 13th
5. Hills Have Eyes
And many more. These are, in my opinion, the scariest movies that I have ever seen. To some, Paranormal Activity is funny, but try to tell that to someone who has had a true ghost experience. Then that movie becomes scary.

Basketball Season Is Over
Not really. There are still the Semifinals and the Championship games that are airing on t.v. this week. What I mean is that the season is over for some Kentucky fans, like my family. I really thought that Kentucky would win it all, but West Virginia wouldn't let that happen. At least we still have next season.
April Fool's Day
Well as everyone know, April Fool's is tomorrow. It is going to be a day filled with a lot of pranks and good laughs. I have been trying to think of some good pranks to pull on my older brother, but I just can't think of any. Any ideas? I hope that everyone has a great day and an awesome Spring Break.

My Dad Issue
As you have read in an earlier blog, I don't like my biological father and consider my step-dad to be my father. So, here's the story.
During the summer when I was 11, my mom had to travel to Philadelphia for work. My older brother and I were going to spend time with our biological father in Nashville. We had been there for about a week when one we were trying to find out what we wanted to eat. Our real dad was already on the phone ordering from a Chinese restaurant when he asked us what we wanted. Of course we had never been to a Chinese restaurant or had food from a Chinese restaurant, so we had no idea what they had there. Our real dad became mad and canceled the order and hung up the phone. He then called our mom and asked if he could bring us home early. She said yes and that Thursday we came back home. He said his goodbyes and left.
A few weeks later we had found out that he had either been fired or quit his job and he had tried to file bankruptcy. We lost contact with him. During that time, I felt so many emotions. First you're confused and upset. Then you begin to blame yourself. When I started to understand that it was his fault, I became angry.
A few years later, the government found him and my mom and him had to go to court. He spilled out this story that he had been living in his car and with his wife's relatives. He even said that he wanted to see us again. To explain his side of the story. But, the truth is he never wanted to be our father.
I love my step-dad more than anything in the world.

Normal Is...
Normal is when you do rational things. You have a normal job in an office and your family is normal. You wear the right clothes and shop at the right stores.
To be honest, I really don't know what normal is. In fact, nobody is normal exactly. I don't have a job, my whole is crazy, and I wear the clothes that I like because they are comfortable. I don't have a problem with it because it is who I am.

What I Wish I Could Have Time To Do

I wish that I could take time to go to California. I would go shopping and go to Laguna Beach. I could watch the sunset and swim in the clear blue ocean. I would also like to go to Germany with my family and eat at the restaurants that my dad has told me about. I would like to go the Black Forest and drive on the Autobahn. Maybe even go to a Tokio Hotel concert. One more thing I wish I could have time for is to go shopping at the mall. I am always pressed for time when I go shopping with my mom and she doesn't like the store that I love to shop at (Hot Topic). Hopefully all of these wishes come true. But, I am only hoping for a few of them right now. (God, please let Tokio Hotel have a concert in Evansville so that I can go.)

10 Things I Like About Myself
1. The fact that I look like my mom.
2. My taste in music. (The name of the blog is a very good hint.)
3. My shoe size.
4. My movie selection.
5. My t-shirt selection.
6. The fact that I come from a very dysfunctional family.(When I say dysfunctional, I mean DYSFUNCTIONAL.)
7. The people who gave me life, my mom and dad. (The dad I am talking about is not my biological father, but he is a better father than my real dad.)
8. My choice of friends. (Even though I don't see them during weekdays because they go to Daviess County High School.)
9. My cats. They are very loveable and cute.
10. My life, in general.
These are very important to me because they distinguish me from everyone else. I love the fact that I have the best family in the world. They might be crazy at times, but I still love them. When I mean by the shoe size thing, my mom and I both wear size 7 1/2 shoe and she has these boots that she never wears anymore. It is just a matter of time before I get my hands on them. I have the best friends in the world. As for the dad thing, my stepdad loves the fact that me and my older brother are his kids and loves being a dad, unlike my biological father. I might explain that in a later blog. My cats are great company to have. They are cute, loveable, and cuddly. One is very fat and lazy, but that doesn't mean I love it any less. I ultimately love my life and the people who are in my life because without them my life would be very dull.

Yankee Doodle-Why did he name the feather in his hat "Macaroni"?

There are many reasons why he named it Macaroni. He could have just liked the word and thought it was interesting. He could have named it that just because he didn't know what else to call it. Will we ever find out the real reason why he named it Macaroni? I don't think we will. But, one can only guess as to why he did.

What Is Silly?

There are many different examples of "silly." But, this example is one that has been in my family since my Papaw began to do it.
My family has this strong fear of growing old. Sure, some other people outside my family has this fear, but this fear started in my Papaw. He was so afraid of growing old, he would dye his hair black to hide grey hairs. He tried it on my Mimi one time, but that backfired. Not only did my Papaw do it, but my great-uncle Malc would do it.
Now, my mother has this fear. If she thinks that she has too many grey hairs, she will either have highlights put in or die it back to her original hair color(black). She also uses face cleaner that we call her "Think Young" makeup. Everytime she runs out, she goes right out to the store and buys more.
But, whether or not I will have this same fear when I am that age, I'm not exactly sure. I do know one thing, I think this is pretty weird!!

Snow Days
This is what every kid dreams and hopes for in the winter. A chance to take a much needed break from school and just relax and play. But, it can take a toll on high school kids' schedules.
We have our blue day and white day classes that are effected by this. Say if we are supposed to have a test on one of those days, the teacher has to end rescheduling it for another day. And, I don't know about you, but I definitely do not want to end going to school in June again.
Sure, we love to get out in the snow and not be in classrooms all day. But, that's what weekends are for also!

Kentucky Wildcats Victories!!-And Loss
For those Kentucky Wildcat fans, today the Wildcats came through-again. This makes it their 20th victory this season. That is all thanks to players John Wall, DeMarkus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe, and the rest of the Kentucky team.
It's too bad that they weren't able to beat South Carolina on Tuesday. They are, in my opinion, the best basketball team there ever was. Except for the Harlem Globetrotters, also in my opinion. They could have easily beat South Carolina, but either way, they didn't seem to mind. Sure, they are the number 1 college basketball team, but I believe that they want to do good at games, they just want to also fly under the radar.
But don't worry, on February 25th, they get another chance to beat South Carolina. I definitely can't wait to see that happen!!

2012- The End Of The World?

This is something that has been on my mind since my dad saw a documentary about it. 2012, the year that will either be the year the world will end or when nothing bad happens at all.
Ever since we have heard about the Mayan Calendar and how it ends on December 21, 2012, we have been asking ourselves a lot of if's. It is said that on that day, the planets will align and supposedly cause some sort of catostrophic event.
So, what happens if the world does not end, then scientists have a lot of explaining to do. They put this into our minds that the Earth and everyone living on this planet will die. I surely hope we don't, but you never know.

Advice A Dog Would Give About Life
Anyone who has a dog is sometime bound to think about what a dog thinks. So, here are just a few things a dog would give advice about, if it could talk.
1. Begging Always Works!- To get what you want, beg as much as you can until they give in. To make this extremely effective, make a sad face and sulk.
2. Tricks For Treats!- Always be sure to do something that will please your parents, or in a dog's case its owners, such as making good grades or doing more than just the few chores that they have assigned to you. Doing these things will most definitely get your parents to buy you something.
3. Don't Trust All People!- Sure, you can trust those who are closest to you, but never trust someone you don't know. Yes, they can seem harmless, AT FIRST. Please, don't make that mistake. KEEP YOUR GUARD UP!!
That's all. I hope that this has helped you.

Trademarks
I'm not really sure what trademarks my family has that are easy to spot, but I have many trademarks. Some are very obvious and the rest, only my family know.
The trademarks that are obvious are the fact that I wear dark colored t-shirts. I have been wearing those for a while and I love them. Some of them show what bands I like. My mom doesn't like that I do, but I don't care. I like what I like. Another one is that I always wear bell-bottom jeans. I very rarely wear skinny jeans. I also wear Vans shoes. They are my favorite kind of shoe and are very comfortable.
The trademarks that only my family know are the fact that I always listen to music. I love to listen to music, but my parents don't because most of the time I have the volume turned up so loud that I can't hear them calling for me. I also like watching comedy movies. There are only certain scary movies that I will watch. The most important trademark that only my family notices is that fact that I look exactly like my mom. Let me just say that it is really freaky to look at pictures of my mom in the 70s because that definitely does look like me.
Each person has their own personal trademarks and should be proud of it. It would be really boring if everybody liked the same things.

Ugly Words

There are not many words that I think are ugly. But, there is only one word that I cringe in fear at: V-Slicer.
During the summer before junior year, my dad and I had just gotten back from the grocery store. We were getting ready to make BLT sandwiches. My dad wanted me to slice the tomato using the V-Slicer.
V-Slicer- used to slice vegetables. Has a very sharp blade that never becomes dull and has a hand guard that you should definitely use.
I got the V-Slicer ready and started slicing the tomato, without using the hand guard. I looked up for a split second, then I felt the most excrutiating pain. My brother screamed "OH MY GOD!!" The blade had cut through part of my thumb nail.
I ran to the bathroom and my mom got the first aid kit out. She bandaged the cut, but it still hurt. It hurt so bad that I cried. My mom finally got a container and filled it with warm water and epsom salt. I soaked the cut in it while my mom went to the store to get bactine and a magazine for me.
That was the last time I have touched the V-Slicer. Everytime someone starts to use it, I run out of the room. I have learned my lesson that day.

Bad Ideas
There are many things that are pretty bad ideas. So, I am only going to tell you about one of the bad ideas that I ever had.
I was about 7 years old when my first tooth became loose. I wanted to get it out, but I was too afraid to pull it out myself. I went to my dad to see if he had any ideas on how to pull it out. That was when I realized that I had heard that taking a string and tying it around a door knob and your tooth, then shutting the door will get the tooth to come out. My dad got the string and tied one end of it to my tooth and the other end to the closet door knob. My dad asked if I was ready and I gave him the okay. (Note: DO NOT try this when you didn't tell your mom.) My dad slammed the closet door and the string snapped in half. At that time, I heard my mom scream. I looked at my mom and I started crying because I didn't know what else to do.
That same night my mom pulled the tooth out for me. From that ordeal, I have learned to never catch my mom by surprise, especially with ideas like that.

Love and Hate
I agree with the fact that love and hate are the two most powerful forces in the world. All our lives we either love someone or hate them. The two can have very powerful effects.
When we love someone, we feel happy and joyful. We feel like we are on top of the world. Love is the most powerful positive force that effects our lives.
Hate, on the other hand, is the most powerful negative force that affects our lives. This force is the one we hear and see on the news and read about in newspapers and on the internet. When hate takes over, our family, friends, or people we don't know can be hurt.
Many people want to know why the world has to be like this. Like animals, we are trying to survive, also known as Survival of the Fittest. That's life. That's the way the world works and has always worked. We need to deal with it.

Possibilities For The New Year
During this new year, I hope to see my family more. I hope that I make it through this school year with good grades. I want good things to happen for me and my family and to leave the bad times behind. Maybe during the year, I will get a job and get my license.
There are many things that can happen to me. I just have to keep an open mind and deal with the situations as best as I can. My family and I have been through so much, I couldn't imagine what could happen to one of us this year. We supported one another through those tragic times and have learned to be strong.
Most of all, I just want me and my fmaily to be happy.

Time For New Beginnings
In 2009, my family got our first dog, a pomeranian named Kori. I also want to remember all the fun times I have had with my family. We have also had a new addition to the family, my cousin Eric and his wife Krystal had a baby boy named Kaden. A few months after Kaden was born, we found out that my cousin Kara, Eric's little sister, will be having a baby that will be due on July 7th, the day after my dad's birthday.
Of course there are things that I will definitely not miss about 2009. But my family did get some very important lessons out of those experiences: Think before you act, Expect the unexpected, and Never give up on family no matter what.
The love from family is the most important thing in our lives that we can have. I love my family with all my heart and I hope I get to see my cousins and aunt again sometime soon.
