My all time favorite Christmas decoration are the Christmas lights. I love going with my mom to walk our dog so that we can see the different Christmas lights.
My favorite one has blue and white lights and on the front yard there are deer made of lights.
We don't usually put Christmas lights on our house so it is always nice to look at how people have decorated them houses in lights during the Christmas season.

A Toy I Wanted For Christmas
Actually what I wanted is not a toy. It was an electric guitar. I begged and pleaded with my dad for them to get it for me for Christmas. On Christmas morning, after our presents were unwrapped, I was sad. I had not gotten the electric guitar. When my parents asked me why I was sad, I told them. Then my dad told my mom to go get something from their bedroom. I opened the box and inside was the electric guitar that I wanted. I was so estatic. Then when we went to my aunt's house to spend Christmas with my mom's side of the family, my dad told them about what had happened. That, in my opinion was the best Christmas I have ever had.

Do I or Don't I Believe In Santa Claus
I was about seven years old when my dad told my older brother and myself that Santa Claus is not real. I don't really remember how I felt when he said that, I just believed what he told me like I am always supposed to do. I don't believe in Santa Claus. I know it is really my parents who buy the gifts.

What I Look Forward To Eating On Thanksgiving
I look forward to everything my dad cooks. He cooks the best food that anyone could eat. He likes to improvise when cooking. He will add certain spices even if the recipe doesn't call for them. I love eating my dad's food.

Rain
In the video that I have just seen, there is a choir that rubs their hands together and snaps their fingers to make it sound like it is raining. So, what does rain mean to me? It can mean that I have to stay inside my house and be bored out of my mind. It can also mean a new beginning. It's like the rain washes away those problems that have been bothering you and has given you a clean slate.

Thank A Veteran!!
In honor of Veterans' Day, which was yesterday, I feel that everyone who knows or doesn't know a veteran personally, should tell that person Thank You. These men and women have fought for our freedoms and are still fighting for them to this day. They have been imprisoned in enemy camps, have been hurt, or haven't come back at all. So, to all those veterans out there, thank you for what you did because without you, we would not have had the freedoms that we have today.

"We do not simply live our lives for ourselves, but for those who came before and will come after us."
I believe that this quote is about how we live for the people we love. Without us or each other, we don't know how we will go on living. Our lives are important to one another.

"The Black Cat Twitched Its Tail Twice. It Hissed...."
It arched its back and hissed again. The snake was now curled into a ball with its head sticking straight up. It was ready to strike. The cat stuck out its claws and lunged. The claws pierced the snake's flesh as the cat yelped and clawed. The snake was defenseless. After a few more minutes of clawing, the snake was dead. The cat took out its claws and ran away.

"The Boy Next Door" Chapter 2 Part 1
I woke up the next morning to find that I had to get ready for school. Harrington High School was fairly large. I sat looking out the passenger side window that morning. "I will pick you up at 4. Call me if you need anything," he said this as he handed me my notebooks and other school supplies from the backseat. I took them and got out of the car. "Bye Dad." I shut the car door and walked toward my new school.
My first two classes were okay. The teachers made me stand up and say something about myself in front of everyone. I entered my third period class and sat down in an unoccupied desk near the back of the classroom. As I waited for class to start, a girl sat down in the desk beside mine. "Hi," she said trying to get my attention. I looked to the seat beside and saw the girl. She was dressed in a plain red t-shirt and ripped blue jeans. "My name is Kristen." She stuck out her hand for me shake it. "Hi. I'm Julie," I said as we shook hands. "Oh, so you're the new girl. I heard about you from someone last period. So, how do you like it here?" She seemed fairly nice. "It's okay. I'm living with my dad and I live next door to a guy named Eddie." Her face turned from happy to concerned.

"The Boy Next Door" Chapter 1 Part 3
As we continued talking, he suddenly realized something. But before he could talk, Ray came outside. "I see you two have met, Eddie. Ed, this is my daughter Julie," my dad introduced us with excitement. "Nice to meet you Julie. Your dad is a great man. I'm sure you are going to love living with him." Eddie shook my hand and then put both hands into his pcokets. "Hey Jules, if it's alright with you, maybe Eddie could stay for dinner?" It's funny how my dad suddenly asks for my permission before he can do things. It's like I'm his mother or something, which is very weird. "Sure, Dad. It's your house. I don't mind." My father smiled at the answer.
So, that's how we ended up in my dad's dining room, eating some kind of food. I could already tell that my dad has never cooked in his life and that he has relied on fast food. I sat on the right side of my dad and Eddie sat across from me. We really didn't talk much, which was pretty awkward. "So Julie, how do you like our town?" I was only in this town for close to two hours and all I have seen was Eddie's and my dad's houses. "It's okay, I guess." To be honest, that was an idiotic question. I wanted to tell him that, but I didn't want to seem rude. "If you want, I can give you a tour. There are some great places I think you will like," Eddie said before he took a drink of water.
After dinner, Eddie went back home. Then it was just me and my dad standing in the living room. "I'm going to bed. Good night." I started to climb the stairs when dad said, "Julie, I'm really glad you're here. I really am. I just want you to know that event though we don't know much about each other, I think we should go to the mall or something and just spend the day together." Ray did sound like he really wanted to get to know me. "Okay." I turned and went up to my room. After I put my pajamas on and climbed into bed, I saw a figure in the window of Eddie's house and I don't know, but the figure looked exactly like Eddie.

"The Boy Next Door" Chapter 1 Part 2
After about 12 minutes of going back and forth from the car to my new room, I finally found my soccer ball and went outside. I wouldn't call the yard huge or small. It's kind of medium sized, but its good enough for me. I started dribbling the soccer ball and kicking it against trees. I gave the ball one good kick and it went flying over my head and over the fence. "Ow." I went over to the fence and looked over. I saw him looking up at me and rubbing his head where the ball had hit him. "I am so so sorry. Are you okay?" He bent and picked up my soccar ball and handed back to me. "I'm fine. It's just that after living here for two years and you never get hit in the head with a soccar ball, you become accustomed to it. Then you actually get hit by one and it kind of confuses you.," he said. To Be Continued!!!

"The Boy Next Door" Chapter 1
The day of my sixteenth birthday, my life ended. Actually, it was mother's life that had ended. I can't describe the feeling of seeing my own mother drenched with her own blood and not breathing. As of then, I am now living with my father, Ray. My father who I haven't seen since I was ten years old. "I am so happy to finally see you again, Jules. You are going to love your new home," Ray said, almost enthusiastically. "I can't wait," was all I said.
After 3 hours of very akward silence, we finally made it to my new home. I was three stories, including the attic, had an iron fence wrapped around the backyard from each side of the house, and a two car garage. My dad's car came to a stop and I climbed out and looked around. Sure, it wasn't the house that I had lived in with my mother, but it would have to do. My father came around to the passenger side of the car, looking as if he was wanting to say something. That was when his cell phone started ringing. "Why don't you get your stuff out of the car. I have some important business to take care of." With that, he went inside and left me to get my own things out of his car. As I went to the trunk of the car, there in the window of the house next door was someone watching me. I don't know who it was, but I suddenly had a bad feeling.

My New Story
Since we are to be writing about Halloween, I have decided to write my own story on my blog. The story is called "The Boy Next Door." This story is about a sixteen year old girl who goes to live with her father after her mother's death. She meets the boy next door and thinks he is nice, but when her new friends start disappearing, she starts to believe that the boy next door is not all that he seems to be. Be sure to read the first chapter of this new scary story.

What I was afraid of as a child
When I was about 8 years old, my family and I watched the movie It. In the movie, there is a clown named Pennywise and what scared me was that he ate children. A few nights after we watched the movie, my dad got up in the middle of the night and printed off some pictures of Pennywise and other scary clowns and put them on the floor beside the bunk bed my brother and I used to sleep in. In the morning, I woke up and looked down on the floor and saw that pictures. I began to cry because I was so scared. My mom came into my room and saw the pictures and got mad. My dad was standing outside the bedroom laughing hysterically. Even a few years after that, I am still afraid of clowns. What is much worse is that my aunt is now part of a group and they dress up as clowns. I guess I won't be able to get over my fear for some more time.

"Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn."-Elizabeth Lawrence. What autumn is to me.
For me, autumn means that it is time to get ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I get to see my family and we all get to eat the food that my dad cooked. It also means that the leaves will fall off the tree branches and get ready for winter. Autumn is my favorite time of year. The temperature won't be too hot or cold. That is perfect for me.

Electric Guitar Lessons Have Been Waiting For 3 Years
Everyone doesn't know that I have an electric guitar. It is red on the top half and white on the bottom half. I have guitar picks of various colors, an amp, and a electronic tuner. But, I have yet to actually learn to play it. I have a DVD that teaches how to play and with it, you can print out music sheets. I would love to start learning to play it, but I have been so busy with school and other things that I finally realized that it has been about 3 years since I got the guitar. I really need to start playing before it turns out that I haven't played it in about 10 years or so.

"Act quickly, Think slowly."-Greek Proverb
People have to act quickly if they want to get things done or, if the situation deals with a person who is hurt, you should get them the medical sttention that they need in order to survive. We all have to think slowly because we need to answer a question in great detail or figure out a problem that needs to be solved. Everyone has to act quickly and think slowly in their daily lives.

Is it easier to fight with dignity than to surrender in shame?
I believe it is easier to fight with dignity than to surrender in shame because people want other people to believe that they are tough and can stick up for themselves, especially guys. I would much rather surrender in shame than to fight with dignity because I won't fight someone unless the situation depends upon it. I think people should try to discuss things rationally rather than fighting.

Money
Money means a lot to me. We use it to buy the essential things that we need such as clothing, food, and shelter. Money is definitely important to all people. It is hard to tell how much money is enough. You don't want to have a too little amount of money, but you also don't want to have a lot because it has caused some people to develop depression. The lack of money impacts life by making the person start to save their money for their food and other needs. A good example of that is the recession we are going through right now. As for it making the world go round, I really don't think it does. But, something makes this world go round.

Laughter
I feel that laughter unifies us in some way. Laughter is extremely important because it makes us happy. Silly things, funny movies, and my family all make me laugh. I believe that laughter can be very contagious because sometimes we just have to laugh at things so we can feel better.

Do What You Love, Love What You Do, Leave The World A Better Place, and Don't Pick Your Nose
Everyone in the world wants to do something they love all the time. For me, it's listening to music or reading a great book. Everyone should also leave the world a better place because it is going through the recession right now. As for the last part, you should NOT EVER pick your nose. It is so DISGUSTING!!!

"Tenants of vitreous abodes, ought not to hurl lithoidal fragments"
When someone always finds the bad in people, they are usually unhappy with themselves. They find the bad in people to make themselves feel better. I, myself, have never been the recipiant of thrown stones. I have, however, thrown stones at my older brother. I was always jealous of him because he got better grades than me and I would say hurtful things to him to try to make myself feel better, but it never did. People should never throw stones at one another.

The Kind of Leader I Admire Most
To be honest, I admire my parents as my primary leaders because I was raised by them and continue to follow their rules. They want me to be the kind of person that I am and want to be. They also look out for me and my older brother and make sure that we can always talk to them about anything that is bothering us. They also want me to be happy and they want what is best for me. I love them so much.

Update #2
Hey everyone. My weekend was okay. I hung out with my family all weekend. I'm very tired right now. I have been checking youtube to see if the new Tokio Hotel music video is on there so I can see it. But, so far, it is not on youtube, so they must be still filming it.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I will post again sometime this week. Bye.

"Friendship Doubles Joy and Halves Grief"
This proverb, to me, means that when you are with your friends, you are happy and full of joy. When you are sad, your friends are always there to try and cheer you up.

Relative I am most like
The relative I am most like is my mom. My mom and I look just alike except for our eye color. Both my mom and I like bands such as AC/DC and Def Leppard. When my mom was my age, she used to wear t-shirts that featured her favorite bands such as Bon Jovi. I wear t-shirts that feature my favorite bands such as AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and of course, Tokio Hotel. My mom and I like some of the same movies as well. We like to watch Made of Honor starring Patrick Dempsey.
There are also some things that I don't like but my mom does. Say for instance Hannah Montana. I would much rather watch a scary movie over Hannah Montana anyday of the week.
There are some things that I like but my mom doesn't. I like Tokio Hotel. I think my mom thinks I'm weird because I listen to a band whose lead singer "dresses like a girl," as she says. I like the band because of their music, not the way they dress.
Even though there are things we both like or don't like, I still love my mother with all my heart.

I don't know if anyone has ever heard of Tokio Hotel. They are a German rock band and I am a huge fan of them. Yesterday, I finally got to hear a 53 second clip of their new single "Automatic." You can listen to it on youtube. If you like that song, the single will be out September 18th. Their new album Humanoid will be out on October 6th. Be sure to check out their previous album Scream.
Be sure to comment and tell me what you think. I will post again soon. Bye.

Hey everyone. I hope you all are having a good day so far. I'm in my English Honors class right now. For the past two days we have been filling out Learner Surveys so our teachers know if we are oral, kinesthetic, or visual learners.

Well, I hope the rest of the day goes well for everyone. I will post again sometime this week. Bye.
